Heather Hattrick is an artist creating prints and products from her illustrations. Originally from a village in Lancashire, she spent her childhood years on her grandparents farm. Her love of animals and nature started young. She would comb beaches and wade through small streams and ditches in North Wales on weekend holidays and spend time horse riding, hiking and camping with her family. Drawing was prevalent during her childhood and into her teenage years. She found her way to the University of Central Lancashire and graduate in 2018 with a First Class Bachelors Degree with Honours in Illustration. During this time she was also Highly Commended in the Pan Macmillan Prize for Children’s illustration in 2017 for her book which focused on the importance of mental health awareness in children.
Hattrick has been working as an Illustrator since 2016. She has worked with clients such as The Chase Creative Consultants, Fedrigoni 365 2021 Calender, Trees For Cities Charity, Artspace Untitled, Covent Gardener Magazine and Manchester Print Fair/Forecast Ltd. Her work has been exhibited in The Coningsby Gallery London, Artspace Gallery Oklahoma U.S.A and the University of Central Lancashire. She works with water based paints such as gouache, watercolour and Japanese Gansai. Hattrick also adds details with ink, pencils and oil crayons.
